This is a call for volunteers for the Tour de Tuck on August 19, 2006 (Saturday). Here are the following types of volunteers we need. Please reply or contact me via e-mail or private message if you, your group, etc. can help make this a great event.
SAG Support - Be able to drive a certain section of the route and carry with you water, tubes, tires, pump, etc. You don't have to know how to change a flat, but be able to give needed items to any cyclists in need of support. A bike rack or ability to haul a bike and any abandoned riders to the nearest aid station or to meet with another aid vehicle. More than one person can ride in the vehicle.
Route Marshal - Go out the morning of the event and paint (will be provided) the route turns on the roads and place signage indicating turns. Also you will need to be able to direct cyclists at a pre-selected turn or intersection. Once the group has passed you can pick up signs and return.
Aid Stations - Setup aid station at selected location and hand out food and fluids. Collect trash at aid station and any dropped trash just past aid station on the route. The further your aid station is on the route, the later you will need to setup/breakdown in the day.
A list of cell phone #'s will be given out to all volunteers for essential contacts. Any hamdheld radio will be welcome and a predetermined frequency will be chosen.
Thank you to all of you that are able to both participate as a rider and as a volunteer!

The weekend may make it difficult to get help from the club. It is the move in weekend so I'll see what I can do. I'll try to get out there myself as a sag support vehicle. I need to look at my calendar to be sure.
