So I know some of the guys went out to the Icycle race on Saturday. Brian, Ryan and Stephen I know of specifically.
I was out there but only for a bit.
Can we get a report on how that went? I mean... it was a downhill race!

I can't say too much for I did not race. However I can say that Brian, Ryan, and Nick swept the beginner catagory.
Nick - 1st (would have been 3rd if racing sport) Ryan - 3rd Brian- 11th

im not for crazy good commentary but.... The race went pretty good, the trail was in great shape and super tacky with a great racing line and was beginning to lean towards the edge of scary fast. When time for the night practice started i realized that the lights i was using lost all of the charge from the day before which was odd and kinda scary since all i had to go down was the light on my helmet. Made it to the bottom and tried to find someone with a similar light and miraculously i found someone with the exact same one. So i follow this guy back to his condo and plug the bike and and am just chillen talkin to some of the guys there and they were complete and total LUNIES...They were takin shrooms and smokin pot out back and drinkin so it was an interesting 45minutes for me, lol.. Well i charged em up for about 45min and went and sat with nick at the top for another 45min in the cold. So by the time we went down my legs were all tensed up and really didn't wanna work too well. Nick went down first and from the top it looked like he was flyin which apparently he was with a 3:07 down the hill. Next it was me and with all the lights working i had a bit of confidence and felt like i was doing real well until the flattish uphill section hit and my legs just wouldn't put the power down like i wanted to but oh well, finished up the course clean without any spectacular instances and came in at 3:19. Brian said he had about the same problem as me about the legs and on his squishy bike its just multiplied even more i don't remember exactly but i think it was a 4:13. Steven had the places correct... Nick was 1st (3rd sport) I was 3rd (7th sport) Brian was 11 It was a good race and were gearing up for clemson now
