Meeting at 8am at the former China Dragon restaurant on Old Cullowhee (just beside bridge/Wayehutta Rd intersection). Going to ride Ring of Hades clockwise. Instead of turning across Charles Creek, descend down 215 to Tannassee Gap/Creek Rd and take it across to 281. About 82 miles and 8800' elevation gain. We'll be going through downtown Sylva by Motion Makers about 8:30am. ridewithgps.com/routes/496768Water stops could be at Balsam PO (~1.5 hrs), Richland Balsam (~3 hrs), at 215/Tannassee intersection (~3.75 hrs), and at 281/107 intersection (~4.5hrs). Not planning to stop at all these locations, but we'll have some flexibility. Pace will be moderate. My guess somewhere in the 5-hour range for riding.

Sounds like a great ride, Scott! I rode C'Whee Mountain yesterday. Trying to regain some fitness -- any at all is better than the status quo, but I'l like to be able to pull off something like this again, soon.

Glad to hear you are carving out some cycling fitness. I missed your lunch offer to ride. My apologies! Andy Stenberg joined me today. It was a great time. I have a new guy in the neighborhood named Brent I have been training with too. He moved here from Denver in May. He is tough!
