No need to shuttle I would say if you descent the gravel road back. I might do the off road ride on the cross bike this Saturday. What time you guys leave? What tempo?

Hey, what's this Heintooga about? What type of trails are they? Worth a drive from Waynesville?
Anyone have info, opinion? Thx

No trails , just smooth logging road and options to descend on the Parkway to Cherokee, or on gravel back to Big Cove road. Can be ridden very well on cyclocross tires (probably even on road tires). Ride to the end of Big Cove , turn right and keep going. Descend through mile high camp ground on gravel (not on road tires) , or over the Parkway.

To add: We rode it on the road bikes today . 39/26 gearing all thats needed (strong riders can go 23); 23 mm tires. The ~20 mile of dirt are in great shape. A beautiful ride. Start at Sanook village, down big Cove and down the pavement of the Parkway in ~31/2 hour.
