So Nate and I headed down to clemson this weekend for a little racing action this weekend. Up first the Downhill race both raced B class and it went pretty well. Nate raced this time and i think did pretty well esp for racing on a hardtail i know i wouldnt wanna do that! I did really well for my first B race and came in 1st (not official but i'm pretty sure) They set up a 35 foot or so booter that really separated the classes. I was the only person in the b group to hit it so i think that is why i got the win. If there were any more races this series i would move to A group. The dual slalom race was intense to say the least. I think Nate would have been able to beat me if he would not have fallen in practice. He ate it pretty bad and roughed up both of his arms and wrists pretty good so i know he wasn't on top of his game. And they made us race against each other in the first race which really stinked esp since it was single elimination. The racing was really close in this event and i was able to just barely cut off they guy i was against for the win. i think we finished about a foot apart it was so much fun and a great weekend!

For the Conference Championship they shouldn't of had both WCU racers competing against each other in the first heat. That automaticly lessens our points that we may obtain for the series. Oh-well there's next year if we can get more people who aren't seniors in the bike club.

Great job but a word about collegiate from my perspective.... Its really crappy still. The collegiate race some of the WCU Roadies went to last season was horrible. They penalized everyone of us for reasons that we didn't even understand (We were in seperate races and categories). The guys from the other schools would make up BS and the official bought it with out even confronting us? That's when I told myself it would be my last collegiate race ever. I did a whole season one year and came to realize its not worth the time or the money. Certainly, if you made it to nationals or something would be great but its still just not worth it IMO.

Yeah i mean you can't go to nationals as a b rider anyway and i was really just doing it for fun to see where i stand against some other kids around my age. I had a lot of fun met some cool people and in the end it was def worth it. They are doing some spring races possible so i'll hit those up if they do

I say keep racing the collegiate mtb if you're having fun.
