Way to make us all feel insignificant.
There are those of us who have not become comfortable with no hands on the road. There are those of us who have not tried the use of rollers. Therefore, this video is mystifying.

That was insane!
I used to be able to ride with no hands... when I was little. I had no sense of injury then. Now i'm just a big baby.
What really mystifies me is that he clips in and out while still pedaling. Am I the only one that finds that to be something I don't do? I know it doesnt help that i clip out by swinging in and not out.
I assume rollers are really as hard as they look? I want to try it... :-\ Surrounded by padding.

Rollers aren't that hard. Give them a try. Just make sure to have something to lean on nearby.

Rollers are pretty easy. The UVA team used to do a "rollerthon" on the lawn with a bike club table and a couple of guys riding all through the day. It's a real eye-catcher for passersby. That guy is simply amazing -- I've gotten to where I can take my hands on and off the bars but riding with one leg would be beyond tough, and combined with no hands... Riding fixed gears and rollers to create a smooth spin has been a technique to develop suplesse (French for perfectly spinning legs) for ages. Here is one of the most incredible displays of form on a bike you'll ever find: TinyURL.com/274xom

Did anyone get the Anthony Kiedis reference, or was it just not that funny?

Oh -- duh -- Chili Peppers. I bet Flea can flat-out bunnyhop a bike. We need a thread on which rock stars ride bikes. Who is "Anthony Kiedis?" Too busy to Google...

There are a few of them who ride bikes. Slash was huge on BMX as a kid, even though that is for the suggested other thread.
I did not catch that reference though...
UVA as in Virginia? Half my graduating class goes there.... Do they still have a bike team? I remember Stephen Benson saying something about rollers to catch people's attention but I never saw anything after that.
