Hi, I'm lookin' for folks to ride with --
I'll be here in Cherokee for the next 6 weeks and my days off are thursday & friday so I'll miss the organized events, but I'm interested if anybody wants to get together to ride on the BR Parkway or some of the other good area rides to get ready for summer events. I can come down to Sylva, Weaverville, etc too.
25-75 or so miles @ about 15mph avg maybe, for hilly rides - not sure for this area. I'm used to riding out west - Rockies, Cal & Flagstaff, AZ. I did a bunch of short steep rides around Gatlinburg when I was just over on that side and I'm waiting for the Clingman's Dome road to open late this month.
I saw the Waynesville Thurs pm rides so I'll try to hit some of those. Any other ideas?
Thanks! Dave

Dave - Great to hear you are in the area for a while. I am planning to ride the Ring of Fire Friday late morning. I have to take our cat to the vet at 9AM and run a few errands afterward. I live in Cullowhee and will be departing from home. Call me on my mobile xxx-xxxx if you want to ride. We can meet at the Cullowhee Rec Center which is just off Cullowhee Mtn Rd less than a mile from the WCU campus. I am approximating being at the Rec Center say 11ish, maybe a little after. www.motionmakersbikes.com/ring_of_fire.html

Sorry, I missed you, I only have irregular internet access so I didn't see your reply till afterwards. I did a 60 mile out and back up (and up!) the Parkway. Probably my regular ride will be up to the little Visitor's Center and back but I'm up for whatever.
