Is anyone planning to ride this on 5/1/10? I am planning to ride the century if my legs can hold out. Hopefully some other locals are going to ride some flavor of it. www.tourdecashiers.com

Are you gonna do the "official" 9am start time? I'm interested to see how my legs do as well. Three days in Helen has 'em a little shredded but at least I got a rest day in yesterday. I can't decide whether to take another one today or go out for a light spin on such a nice afternoon/evening. Or maybe I'll go out to Tsali and trash my legs completely. LOL

Scott, Joe may have told you that I have a test to take on Saturday morning at 9 so I can't be there to represent. I'll be at Southwestern though so I may scoot over there and try to meet you guys around the rec park and pull the rest of the way if it works out time wise....Ben

Yes, I will be doing the official start time for the century. It is not timed nor is any finished recorded, just competitive within the riders that want to be. I know I will not be as fast this year as previous, but hopefully I can make it all the way. See you there.

Dobo, Joe, and Bill rode great today. Darby even made an appearance! Someone attached an anchor to my bike on Tilley Creek and then again on Walnut Creek. Rode 6:33, about a half hour slower than my typical ride. Maybe I am just a good metric century rider now.

Was afraid I was gonna fall asleep at the wheel coming home. All I gotta say is that is one tough century route. It doesn't look it on paper compared to others I've done, but man... in reality it's just... mean. I had any number of excuses due to prior riding during the week, lack of sleep, etc. but even so... I can't remember the last time I was that spent at the end of 100 miles. The intermediate rollers in between the three main climbs are relentless! And the "kilometer from hell" really got me this time, much more than on TdT last fall.

Stop kidding yourself Scott. You will never ride the metric.
