www.citizen-times.com/article/20100413/NEWS01/100413036I know I've whined about this before, and I know people think it's dorky, but I strongly recommend lights or at least a bright rear blinky if you're going to ride near dusk or pass through any tunnels. I have no idea if it would have helped this guy, I'm just saying be careful.

I don't think it's dorky at all. I don't always use a headlight, but I ride with a taillight on my bike year round and do flip it on in the tunnels.

Can't imagine how a headlight would've helped this fellow... but certainly, a tail light is needed on the pkwy. Too many "view seekers" fail to realize that bikers may be "lurking" in that tunnel!
I try to always ride with my tail blinker on, day or night. The batter expense is low compared to the potential of being rear-ended (not that it'll prevent such a thing, but I can hope it will).
