2010 Wheel Ride For Food - Saturday, May 29, 2010 - 8:30 a.m. at Carrier Park in AshevilleCome ride for food and support Meals On Wheels in this charity road ride. 3 courses to choose from: Metric Century with 5,180 feet of climbing over a 65-mile route, Metric Half-Century features rolling hills and scenic riverside route and a Full Century route that offers the perfect combination of beautiful scenery and rolling hills over a 100 mile course. There's something for every level of rider! Go to WheelRideForFood.org for more information and to register. The Wheel Ride for Food is a charity cycling event designed by cyclists for cyclists! There are 6 fully stocked rest stops and SAG support throughout the courses until the last rider comes in. The first 200 riders to register will receive a commemorative shirt. All riders will enjoy a post-ride lunch, water bottle and SWAG BAG filled with lots of fun items! And the best part - Each registration feeds a homebound senior for a week! After the ride, walk (or peddle) over to Asheville's Mountain Sports Festival ( mountainsportsfestival.com) where you can enjoy a variety of awesome bands, food, drink, and check out other outdoor sports.
