I went to the trainer for the winter ;D I am going to hide all winter & turn ghostly white ;D Speaking of trainers.. anybody want to join me for Spinervals 26.0 Hardcore 100 on New Years Eve? 3 DVDs, 5.5 hours, 100 (ish) miles. I do it once every winter. Three years ago I got three friends to join me. I haven't gotten anyone to join me since then. Since NYE is also a Blue Moon (2nd full moon in the same calendar month) I'm setting it up to finish at 7:13 P, the time of the Blue Moon. And I'll celebrate at the end with - you guessed it - ice cold Blue Moons. Who's in?

sounds epic, but that would definitely deplete all the cash in my yearly trainer account. I only have so much mental equity each year for the trainer. I'll probably do several hours outside that day if that sounds more enjoyable.

I'll probably do several hours outside that day if that sounds more enjoyable. It's not quite as epic as it sounds. The training sets on the DVD are quite repetitive, but what can you expect for 5+ hours? However, that makes it a really good exercise in mental toughness ("mental equity".. I like that), concentration, form, etc. So I commit to doing it once a year, with a nice buildup of increasingly longer Spinervals vids the two weeks beforehand. FWIW, the 3 hour "Tough Love" DVD is waaaaaay harder than Hardcore 100, especially if you give it a full effort. Whether it's 30 minutes or multiple hours, I won't get on the trainer unless it's a Coach Troy sufferfest. I just can't do the LSD/TV watchin' kind of trainer miles. I have to get outside for those.

BTW.. I like how the subject length trimmed the 100 to 10. that sounds much easier! ;D

Well... it took two tries and two extra days, but I did manage to get the century done yesterday. Women!
