I'm excited about the CX season getting under way. Not because I plan on racing, but I plan on photographing some races. I'm wondering if there is a WNC CX series, or if there are some regular amateur events that will be in the area that I can get to.

I'm excited too, not because I plan on racing, but because I just got my One Call Now CX kit. Really cool, wild looking design. When we placed the order I didn't know I was moving to NC, so I got myself the heaviest wind-guard fleece jacket. Now all I need is for the temp to drop about 50-60 degrees.

Well, there's not really a western NC series, but there are several good race series in the region: The best all inclusive calendar I know of is: cxmagazine.com/national-cyclocross-calendar-races-clinics?region=South%20EastNC Cyclocross Series (mostly in the middle part of the state, but 2 big UCI races in Hendersonville) This series has the biggest field sizes and best courses Mud Sweat and Gears races are in east TN, and pretty close to here. The GA series also has some races pretty close to here. There are also a series of Wed night practice races in Asheville that should be a good warm up for the season.
