Hospital bills force the sale of Black Betty, the sexiest track bike on Planet Earth (okay, that may be an overstatement, but it's a pretty hot bike nonetheless).
Frame: S-Works Langster
Material: E5 Aerotec alloy, steel dropout inserts (a GREAT improvement over previous S-Works frames)
Size: 58.2
Color: Black w/red & white graphics
Price: $1600
Fork: S-Works, carbon steerer
Headset: FSA
Stem: S-Works carbon (120mm)
Handlebar: Soma steel track bar (the carbon bar currently on the bike is not for sale)
Seatpost: S-Works
Saddlle: BG Team Toupe (Black & Red, 143mm)
Crank: FSA Carbon (170m)
Bottom Bracket: FSA
Chain: Surly track-specific
Wheelset: Specialized carbon tri-spokes w/aluminum brake surface (never braked upon), tubular; fixed gear, Dura Ace track axles & nuts
Tires: brand new Vitoria track race sew-ups (tubulars, glued on & never ridden)
Fixed gear hub adapter & lock ring: Dura Ace
Chain ring & cog: Your choice of one ring and one cog (I have many).
Note: I have two complete sets of racing and training FSA chain rings and Dura Ace cog sets (they are unused), as well as all accoutrements (chain whip, chain ring wrench, wheel-specific tire pump, etc.) to start track racing.
This bike was ridden once nearly two years ago at the Mellowdrome and then has hung in Motion Makers Bike Shop ever since (it’s still there). This is a pro-level bike, without water bottle cage mounts or brake provisions, not a trainer or entry-level ride. A faster frame does not exist; there really isn’t anything else to be said about this bike.
Please feel free to email me at wdulaney@wcu.edu for more information (I’m a bit slow to answer PMs on this site but will eventually do so).
