Another leg breaker close to sylva. Up Barker Creek and L at the church. It climbs gradually and the pavement gets steeper and steeper. I've never seen the end on 39/23 gearing. In addition to Yellow Creek , you can come back over the Meadow Branch climb for a pretty brutal loop. For the steepest pavement I know you got to lift your bike over the gate in Alarka's Cullasaja devellopement. Less than 34/34 is not going to handle this wide pavement climb. The back side to Brush Creek is half gravel. In the end , you can be dying in the back of a speeding peloton with wind in the back on the flats if the hammer go's down.

Dobo - Look forward to you being over here more. It took you moving for us to ride together other than a Tuesday MM ride! LOL.. that's true, if we don't count Cashiers, BR Breakaway or other centuries. Opposing schedules I guess.

All the climbs mentioned are tough. Lets not forget about 215 and 276 going up to the parkway. Both directions on both roads are a bitch. I agree with you Scott, the University Heights climb after a hard ride, I've had to dismount a time or two there before.
